Lofaso was a chef at the Los Angeles restaurants Foxtail and Spago. Additionally, she was a manager at Sean Combs’ restaurant, Justin during when she was at the French Culinary Institute in New York.

She is co-own and is also the executive chef of the Los Angeles restaurants Black Market Liquor Bar, Italian Roots, and Scopa currently.

Television career

Lofaso came in 4th place in 2008 as a contestant on season four of the competition series Top Chef. Moreover, from 2010 to 2011, she came in 3r place on season eight of Top Chef, known as Top Chef: All-Stars. Competing against Mike Isabella who had beaten her on Top Chef: All-Stars, she won in the 2014 episode of Top Chef Duels.

On the short-lived Game Show Network show Beat the Chefs in 2012. The show ran for four episodes and she was one of three professional chefs the amateur chef contestants had to compete against.

On the 2013-2017 Food Network competition show Cutthroat’s Kitchen, she was one of a rotating group of judges. She won in the 2016 Cutthroat’s special judging judges competition-beating fellow regular judges Jet Tila and Simon Majumdar.
