Schauble was born to Virginia Robinson, an Italian American mother, and John Charles J.C Robinson, an American. He was an adoptee but knew his biological parents in October 2013 after looking for them for six months. In addition, while visiting his father’s cemetery in Florida, Schauble met his siblings, J.C Robinson Jr. for the first time. His mother had three children from a previous relationship.

Schauble is the co-anchor of KTLA 5 Morning News from 4 a.m. to 8 a.m. from 7:00 a.m. to 7:00 a.m. weekdays. He has received numerous honors since coming to Los Angeles in 2001, including two Emmys and five Golden Mike Awards. Also, he was included in the San Fernando Valley Business Journal’s “40 Under 40” list in 2007.
Prior to his stint in Los Angeles, Schauble worked at Denver’s KCNC-TV, where he covered a number of national issues. He helped the station win a regional Emmy for spot news coverage of the Columbine High School massacre. The Colorado Association of Black Journalists named Schauble “Television Journalist of the Year” in 2000, and Urban Spectrum Magazine named him one of Denver’s top 10 history-makers in 2001.
Schauble has taught speech communications and media research analysis at Miles College in Birmingham, Ala., and was a guest instructor at the Poynter Institute in St. Petersburg, Fla., in addition to his job as a journalist. He is a member of Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity, Inc. and the National Association of Black Journalists.
Apart from being a journalist, he is passionate about his work, family and fitness and has dedicated much of his free time to helping needy children. Also, he has received numerous awards from the city of Los Angeles and the state of California for his continued community work.
