Her performance was very emotional that she cried mid-way and stopped performing. Lionel Richie had to give her his handkerchief for her to wipe the tears. Richie also called her father when she couldn’t continue, who hugged her and whispered some words of encouragement. DJ was then able to compose herself and finish her performance.
