Prior to joining WCVB, she worked as a political reporter for Columbus, Ohio duopolies WSYX-TV and WTTE-TV. Throughout her remarkable career, she has covered a wide range of topics, including daily government and public policy news, legislative efforts, election campaigns, and the impact of budget cuts. On the eve of his resignation, Riemer gained an exclusive interview with Marc Dann, Ohio’s embattled attorney general.
Riemer was also invited to the White House in December 2010 as one of just four correspondents from local affiliates across the country to interview President Obama. She also enjoyed reporting from Arizona on the Patriots’ Super Bowl victory in 2015, as well as Pope Francis’ historic visit to the United States that same year.
