However, before coming back to Birmingham and WBRC FOX6 News in April 1996, he worked in the Lone Star State.

Moreover, within six months, he was reporting although his first assignment was as a news photographer. However, in January 1997, he was brought back to the Magic City to work on Good Day Alabama but he honed his skills at WBRC’s Anniston Bureau.

In addition, he played football at Jacksonville State University as a running back hence sports have always been a part of his life. Also, he was on the 1992 Division II National Championship team. The Dannon Project
Additionally, by working with children, speaking at schools, and being a mentor, he gives back to the community. In non-profit organizations and companies, he emcees events. In October 2003, The Dannon Project (co-founded by Pruitt and his wife Kerri) obtained non-profit status. Moreover, the project was established to help persons with addictions on the road to recovery, unemployed, underemployed, at-risk youth and adults, both male and female, and specifically non-violent offenders reentering society to transition. Additionally, inspiring others to help raise money and awareness of organ donation, he is also involved with the Alabama Organ Center.
