She had been previously arrested and sentenced to Berkeley jail for excessive drinking and misconduct in 2012. After Ravenel was arrested for sexual assault in 2018 Kathryn filed for sole custody of her children. The case is ongoing. In January 2019, Dennis was reported to start a relationship with former America’s Got Talent contestant Hunter Price.

Kathryn studied at the University of South Carolina where she graduated with a Bachelor’s degree in political science. While she was still studying for her degree in political science, she also did journalism as well as women’s studies.
