Also briefly, she served as editor of “The Prospect” magazine, issued by a Concerned Alumni of Princeton. In 1991 after law school, she worked as a law clerk for Judge Ralph K. Winter Jr., of the United States Court of Appeals for the Second Circuit, in New York. Subsequently, she clerked for Clarence Thomas, U.S. Supreme Court Justice. After that, she worked as an attorney at the New York-based law firm called Skadden, Arps, Slate, Meagher, and Flom. She appeared In 1995 on the cover of The New York Times Magazine in association with a story about young conservatives. Also in 1996, she organized the first Dark Ages Weekend in response to Renaissance Weekend alongside Jay P. Lefkowitz.
In 1996, she became a host for the first time on MSNBC. She also became a CBS commentator in the late 1990s where she hosted the MSNBC program Watch It!. She became the host of a new program of Fox News Channel called The Ingraham Angle in October 2017.
In April 2001, she launched a show called The Laura Ingraham Show which was heard on 306 stations and XM Satellite Radio. Originally, it was syndicated by Westwood One but later moved to Talk Radio Network in 2004. That show was rated as the No. 5 radio show in America by Talkers Magazine In 2012. She announced her departure from Talk Radio Network in November 2012. This came after her decline to renew her contract with Talk Radio Network after almost a decade of being associated with the network.
