Mick Norcross Biography
Mick Norcross was an Essex businessman, property developer, former owner of Sugar Hut in Brentwood, a celebrity nightspot. He was best known for The Only Way Is Essex (TOWIE) and the father of Kirk Norcross.
He made his TOWIE debut in 2011, in the 2nd season of the reality show. The reality star was introduced as the owner of Sugar Hut, a nightclub in Brentwood. He left the show in 2013 after starring in 53 episodes quoting to the Sun: “My club is an upmarket venue where people come to drink champagne and feel spoiled. All these rows they keep filming don’t show the club in a good light and I,m worried it’s putting people off coming, which is the last thing I want.”
He sold the nightclub in 2019 and concentrated on property development with his latest project being developing the famous Grand Hotel in Leigh-on-Sea into an 18 luxury flat near Southend.
The property developer was also building five luxury houses, called the Bonham Estate in Bulphan.

Norcross died at the age of 57 years, on January 21, 2021. He was found lifeless at his home in Bulphan, Essex. An Essex Police Spokesman on a brief statement said: “We were called to an address in Brentwood Road, Bulphan shortly before 3.15 pm on Thursday 21 January. Sadly, a man inside was pronounced dead. His death is not being treated as suspicious and file will be prepared for the coroner.”
Mick Norcross Cause of Death and Suicide?
His cause of death is still under investigation. An Essex Police Spokesman on a brief statement said: “We were called to an address in Brentwood Road, Bulphan shortly before 3.15 pm on Thursday 21 January. Sadly, a man inside was pronounced dead. His death is not being treated as suspicious and file will be prepared for the coroner.”
Although it was speculated he committed suicide following his Tweet hours before his sudden demise. Mick wrote a cryptic message on his Twitter account that read: “At the end remind yourself that you did the best you could. And that is good enough.”
