He is best known for his role as Ron Swanson in the NBC sitcom Parks and Recreation, his role in The Founder as Richard McDonald, and his role as Karl Weathers in Fargo. Nick is also a co-host of NBC’s show Making It, alongside Amy Poehler.

Offerman was born to his mother Cathy Roberts and his father Ric Offerman in Joliet.  He, however, grew up in Minooka. His mother Cathy Roberts was a nurse while his father Ric Offerman was a teacher. Ric taught social studies at a junior high school in Channahon.  Nick has three siblings; a brother named Matt Offerman and two sisters named Laurie Offerman and Carrie Offerman.
