Born in Centreville, Illinois, Pete Delkus is an American meteorologist, working as the Chief Meteorologist at ABC-affiliated WFAA-TV in Dallas, Texas.
Delkus has a Bachelor of Science in TV, Radio, and Film from Southern Illinois University Edwardsville. He also attended Mississippi State University for his masters.
He has the American Meteorological Society and the National Weather Association seals of approval.

He had also worked at WFTV, the ABC affiliate in Orlando, Florida, as a meteorologist for four years.

Delkus is also an outstanding athlete. He was an All-America pitcher and had an all-star college career. After completing college, he signed as a Free Agent in 1987 with the Minnesota Twins organization.
He finished the 1988 season while pitching for the double-A Kenosha, Wisconsin, with 33 saves and a 0.26 ERA. In 1989, Delkus played 140 innings and saved 10 games with a 1.87 ERA, in triple-A Orlando.
Delkus earned the “Minnesota Twins Minor League Player of the Year” and the Rolaids Relief Man awards. However, he got a serious elbow injury, ending his career prematurely.
