Blayke got involved in music at age 16. The Chicago native grew up listening to pop, R&B, and gospel music. Moreover, the singer has already released music including a 2019 EP “1137 Merrill St.” and 2020 single, “Get Along”. In addition, according to a local newspaper story, Sir has written songs for Queen Niaja, Teyana Taylor, Empire, and The Bonfyre.
Moreover, Blayke said that he left home because of a toxic relationship with his father and moved to Atlanta. The singer was actually homeless while working as an intern at Icon Studios. Moreover, one of Sir’s first big breaks came when he was in Lennox Mall, filling out job applications. The singer spotted Ester Dean, ran up, and introduced himself. Ester agreed to listen to one of the songs Blayke wrote and they wound up working together. The singer says that this was a big break for him.
