Yeun was cast in Joe Lynch’s action horror film Mayhem in March 2016. On November 10, 2017, the film was released in theatres. Moreover, he was cast in Bong Joon-ho’s action-adventure film Okja in April 2016. Netflix released the film on June 28, 2017. Moreover, in 2017’s The Star, he provided the voice of Bo.
In addition, he co-starred in Boots Riley’s dark comedy Sorry to Bother You. This was released in theatres on July 6, 2018, and premiered at the Sundance Film Festival in January 2018. He played Ben in the South Korean mystery drama film Burning.
