Born in Wellington, Florida, Stephanie Abrams is an American meteorologist, who works as a co-host of AMHQ with Jen Carfagno and Jim Cantore early weekday mornings.

Abrams has worked for The Weather Channel since 2003. She is a member of the National Weather Association (NWA) and the American Meteorological Society (AMS).

From 2002 to 2003, she was president of the North Florida chapter of the AMS. Abrams holds the seal of approval from the AMS.

Abrams began her career at WTXL, the ABC affiliate in Tallahassee, Florida, as a morning meteorologist.

The Weather Channel

Abrams joined The Weather Channel in July 2003. She started working for the station as a reporter and fill-in until 2005, when she joined her first show, Weekend View, as a co-host.

Abrams later became an on-camera meteorologist as co-host of Abrams and Bettes: Beyond the Forecast in 2006. She later went on to Weather Center, also with co-host Mike Bettes.

Starting July 20, 2009, Abrams started co-anchoring Wake Up With Al Roker on weekday mornings from NBC studios in New York. She also filled in for AI Roker r on Today, and occasionally joined Sam Champion on America’s Morning Headquarters (AMHQ).

Abrams and Roker covered the 2010 Winter Olympics where they reported live from Vancouver from February 8 to 28 for Wake Up With Al and AMHQ.

After Wake Up With Al was canceled in 2015, she returned to work from the Weather Channel’s studios in Atlanta. She co-hosts AMHQ with Jen Carfagno and Jim Cantore.
