Born in the U.S.A, Gary Tuchman is an American journalist and currently (2020) a CNN  National correspondent and a staff correspondent for Anderson Cooper 360 Show. Before joining CNN he worked for WPEC-TV as an anchor and reporter.

Tuchman is married to Katherine M. Stark. The couple wedded in a Jewish ceremony at the Waldorf-Astoria, Manhattan in 1990. His wife is often confused with her namesake who is an actress. Gary’s wife, Katherine, runs a restaurant.

Gary attended Boston University where earned a Bachelor of Science degree in broadcast journalism and was honored by the university with a Distinguished Alumni Award in 2003.

In addition to winning the two Emmy awards, Gary has been nominated for Emmy Awards in 2018 for Outstanding Breaking News Coverage To CNN for CNN Worldwide Hurricane Coverage, in 2017 for Outstanding Breaking News Coverage for Pulse Nightclub Massacre, and IN 2010, Outstanding Investigative Journalism in a Regularly Scheduled Newscast for Highwat Robbery on May 5, 2009.
